Medical ozone as therapeutic agent in prevention and complementary medicine
|
Medical ozone
- A mixture of pure ozone and pure oxygen (0,05 % to max. 5 % O3)
- activates cellular metabolism
- modulates the immune system
- regulates the antioxidative capacity of the biological system
|
The activation of immunocompetent cells results in the physiological release of cytokins (interferones, interleukins) |
Indications: Diseases accompanied by an immune deficiency As additional/complementary therapy for various types of cancer |
|
Acivated red blood cells (RBCs) (increase in ATP and 2,3-DPG) thanks to a reduction in Hb-O2 affinity, this facilitates the transfer of transported oxygen to the tissue |
Indications: Peripheral and cerebral arterial circulatory disorders |
|
Enzymatic antioxidants and radical scavengers (SOD, catalase, glutathion peroxidase and reductase ...) are inclused and activated, thus increasing the organism"s antioxidative capacity |
Indications Inflammatory processes such as e.g. arthritis, reactivated arthroses, strained muscles, myogelosis, trigger points, vascular diseases, ageing processes |
|
APPLICATIONS The ranges of ozone concentration depend on the desired effect and the chosen form of application.
For systemic applications, the usual ranges are 1 - 30 µg/ml and 10 - 50 µg/ml.
For topical applications, these ranges are 10 to 50 µg/ml and 30 to 100 µg/ml.
EXTRACORPOREAL BLOOD TREATMENT (major autohemotherapy with ozone) in the Hygiene Set with the Micro-Pearl System and microbe trap is an ideal application system - in combination with the exact dosage regulation as provided by the OZONOSAN alpha plus.
RECTAL OZONE GAS INSUFFLATION provides both an genuine alternative to extracorporeal blood treatment to administer the systemic affect of medical ozone as well as an effective topical method providing local positive effects in disorders of the intestine such as proctitis and colitis.
OZONIZED WATER is topically applied in all infected wounds and fresh, surgically treated lesions: ozonized water compresses produce rapid and considerable pain relief, particularly in the initial stages of inflammation and edema formation.

Minor autohemotherapy as extracorporeal blood treatment and intramuscular injection
|
1) Effects on red blood cells: Improvement of rheological properties. Activation of red blood cell metabolism with increase of 2,3-DPG and ATP, plus resultant improvement in O2 release. -
2) Action on immunocompetent cells: moderate activation of mononuclear cells with release of cytokins.
